Tone control is handled by a classic subtractive EQ circuit: the more you turn the knob up, the more the pedal opens up, letting a wider range of frequencies through and revealing the true voice of the Sun Drive. With the Tone fully open, the circuit reaches its full range—but you’ll also want to adjust the gain, as the harmonic content increases proportionally with sustain. It’s a system that invites exploration, helping you find your ideal balance between saturation and tone.

The Moon Drive is equipped with the always-active Costalab Class A buffer, designed to preserve signal integrity, enhance note definition, and eliminate radio interference. It also includes a ground loop circuit to ensure silent, noise-free operation—even in complex signal chains.
