MEDUSA is a compact and functional patch box, designed to streamline the rig of guitarists and bassists.

Inside, electro-mechanical automation smartly manages connections between devices on the pedalboard, simplifying cabling and reducing the number of cables required.

MEDUSA features 2 Mono lines, 2 Stereo lines, and 1 fully wired 5-pin DIN connection — ideal for MIDI signals or any auxiliary control.

All connections are electrically isolated to prevent ground loops and unwanted noise.

Its compact size (equivalent to a 1590B pedal) allows you to organize all connections neatly in a small space, keeping your board clean, efficient, and lightweight.


Connection Examples

2/4-Cable Method

The pre section (compressors, OD, distortion) is separated from the effects section (modulation, delay, reverb).

Using 2 cables, everything runs in series.

With 4 cables, ambience effects go through the amp’s send/return, while pre-effects stay in front.

2/4-Cable Method + DIN Footswitch

Same setup as above, with the addition of the 5-pin DIN connector, which allows a multi-button footswitch to control amp functions (channels, boost, reverb, etc.).

Stereo Amplification

Effects are connected in series, with stereo output going to two amplifiers.

When using a single output (Amp IN), stereo signals are summed to mono for use with one amp only.

Amp Footswitch

All effects run in series, while the top stereo connection is used to plug in the amp’s stereo channel-switching footswitch.

Controller Setups

MIDI Controller

Effects are managed by a MIDI switcher/controller, which also sends channel switch commands to the amplifier. Outputs are in stereo.

MIDI Controller + Auxiliary Signals

In addition to MIDI (program/control change), stereo outputs are also used for auxiliary amp functions, like activating boost, reverb, or switching channels.

MIDI Controller + FX Loop

The controller includes a dedicated loop, which separates preamp pedals from ambience effects.

With 2 cables, the connection is in series.

With 4 cables, the signal is routed through the amp’s FX loop, maintaining signal chain separation.

The MIDI connection allows for sending or receiving Program and Control Change messages.
